Sammy is one of the biosecurity detector dogs supported by donors to the South Georgia Heritage Trust and Friends of South Georgia Island. Artist Louise Clarke has done this sketch of him for a set of stamps, featuring 6 working dogs from around the Falklands
Following the successful rodent eradication by SGHT and FOSGI, we now support the GSGSSI Biosecurity Dog Programme which is just one of the important measures in place to help prevent invasive species reaching, or reinvading, an island which is one of the most important seabird breeding sites in the world.
